Jet Fuel

Strains like Jet Fuel will most likely have Diesel genetics in them. These are sativas or sativa dominant hybrids that have very energizing and cerebral effects with high levels of THC and low CBD. These strains will grow very tall in height and produce average to high yields with a very pungent smell and flavor.

Strains with Diesel genetics often have very sativa dominant effects and this one is no exception. This strain is packed full of energy making the name “Jet Fuel” a great name for it. As an indication of its genetics and effects the strain also has a “diesel” like taste ans smell to it.

Jet Fuel Strain Effects

The Jet Fuel cannabis strain effects are primarily cerebral. This is a great strain for active people who need some energy to get going. It’s perfect for daytime use as it won’t put you to sleep. In fact, it may actually keep you from sleeping so using this one in the evenings is not recommended. The high is euphoric and happy, making it a good choice for social occasions. There is also a strong sense of focus and motivation that comes with this strain. Jet Fuel is perfect for creative tasks or anything that requires a lot of concentration. The effects of Jet Fuel last for several hours so it may be good choice if you need to be productive for long periods of time.

While there are many positive effects associated with this strain like feeling uplifted, focused, happy and energized there can also be some downsides. With some sativas (or sativa dominant hybrid in this case) that have high THC levels they can often cause anxiety or paranoia if consumed in large doses. This is another common side effect of strains with Diesel genetics. Sour Diesel is a great example of this. So a key tip to remember is that with strains that have Diesel genetics is that a very small amount will go a long way. A puff or two would be a great way to start as opposed to smoking an entire joint.

How to Grow Jet Fuel Strain

The Jet Fuel cannabis strain is relatively easy to grow. I would recommend it for beginner growers. It’s a fast-growing strain with a short flowering time of around eight weeks. When growing Jet Fuel keep in mind that the sativa genetics are very strong in this one. This strain can grow quiet large so if your growing indoors be sure to have a grow area that is at least 6ft in height. If working with smaller spaces indoors you could always use the topping method to encourage the strain to start growing outward instead of straight up. Keep in mind that this strain is also very fragrant and strong smelling so if your growing indoors (especially in apartments) it would be best to have a great ventilation system in place that uses carbon filters.

Given the size and its genetics, Jet Fuel would be a great strain for growing outdoors. Since Jet Fuel is fairly resistant to mold and pests you should have any issues here and you’ll have plenty of space for this strain to do its thing. Yields are average but the quality of the buds is high if you get the conditions right. Jet Fuel is a great strain for making concentrates and extracts since the buds are very resinous.
