While this is a longer wait time, it does have quite large yields. Laughing Buddha can produce of to 600 grams per plant which is quite large compared to many other strains. Even twice the flower yield in many cases. Being a sativa, this strain doesn’t actually grow very tall compared to other sativa strains which often grow very high. This is most likely due to some of the hybrid genetics from the Jamaican side that may work to your advantage if you’re growing indoors. Indoors, Laughing Buddha can reach a height of around 80-140 cm. Outdoors, this strain can get quite a bit taller with some plants reaching over 200 cm in height.

Laughing Buddha’s large size can also be attributed to its genetics. As a hybrid, it takes the best of both parents in terms of size and yield. The Thai sativa parentage gives Laughing Buddha a longer flowering period while the Jamaican hybrid provides the larger yields. When grown outdoors these plants can reach even higher yields. The buds are large and dense, covered in orange hairs and a thick layer of trichomes. When properly cured, the buds have a sweet, fruity flavor with hints of citrus.

Due to its landrace genetics and diversity Laughing Buddha is also very resistant to a lot of growing issues like pests, molds and mildews. So long as proper air flow, humidity and nutrition are provided the Laughing Buddha strain does a really good job of taking care of itself.

Because of its effects, diversity of landrace genetics and large yields in a smaller space Laughing Buddha’s unique genetics make it an ideal strain to combine with other strains to help improve certain characteristics of other strains.
